A swindler is making their way from town-to-town and they've found the easiest mark yet - a vain Emperor obsessed with just one thing: FASHION.
Will anyone stand up and tell the truth before the swindler gets away with all of the empire's riches?
Performers lead kids in a post-show discussion with that focus on show themes: such as honesty, self-deception, independent thinking, and more.
This HIGHLY INTERACTIVE hour-long performance is a newly updated version of a play already performed in over 1,000 schools nationwide, but never before seen in Iowa.

Cast & Creative Team
The Emperor's New Clothes is written & directed by Cavan Hallman, whose children's plays have been performed thousands of times across the United States. He was the resident playwright for Chicago's Windy City Players for 19 years, and has also written children's plays on commission for KAPOOT Clown Theatre, Playtime Poppy, and the National Czech and Slovak Museum.
