President & Artisitc Director

Chelsea White (She/They) received their Education Specialist in Organizational Leadership and Master of Education in Higher Education from Abilene Christian University. They are glad to be done, for now, with their education although they believe that you are always learning which is why they love taking on new challenges.

Chelsea received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History with a minor in Theatre Arts from Coe College in Cedar Rapids. After taking a 6 year break from theatre, they became involved in the Corridor Theatre Community and have had a lot of diverse opportunities. Some of their favorite credits include Where the Sidewalk Doesn't End (Playwright) which has been included in staged readings in Iowa, Minnesota, and New Jersey as well as The Half-Life of Marie Curie by Lauren Gunderson (Assistant Director) and Eddie and Dave by Amy Staats (Stage Manager).

Chelsea is a longtime supporter and collaborator of Mirrorbox, having worked on productions such as The Parking Lot,
Private, Cycle Play, Batman Returns Returns, OPEN, and DIE HARD... is a Christmas movie. Chelsea joined the Mirrorbox Board of Directors in October 2024 and accepted the volunteer roles of Artistic Director and President of the Board of Directors in April 2025. They are excited to help "Write The Next Chapter" for Mirrorbox Theatre.

In addition to theatre, Chelsea loves serving as a volunteer for their Fraternity, Alpha Gamma Delta International Fraternity and spending time trying new restaurants in the Cedar Rapids area. They want to express their gratitude to all the friends and family who support them in their endeavors no matter how crazy and they hope to see you at a show.
